Statue of Meenatai Thackeeray was vandalized with RED PAINT. As per sources this incident happened in broad daylight around 10am, meanwhile this news was spread at a lightening speed and within few moments Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena party workers along with MP Anil Desai gathered at Dadar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park (Shivtirth) near Meenatai Thackeray’s statue. Party workers began cleaning the statue but the rage can be seen among party workers. MP Anil Desai has raised concern on security within the premises. MP Anil Desai has demanded quick action from police department stating, “Someone has attempted to throw color. These antisocial elements, the offspring of cowards, must not have received any culture or values. The police are currently searching for them. Whatever has to happen will happen, but such tendencies are beyond mere condemnation of what the police or the government machinery is doing about it today. It is becoming increasingly evident every time that the government has failed.”
